Squad Fest - One Year Down for the Dojo
If you've followed our content over the past year (and maybe even before that), you've almost certainly heard about The Dojo. You can find this eclectic DIY Art Venue and it's founders in Pilsen (Chicago). Recently, the Dojo crew gathered at Rutcorp, another uniquely underground art venue, to celebrate their one year anniversary. It was an evening full of positivity, the type of gathering that practically glows with optimism and good vibes.
As you can usually expect at a Dojo event, the space was filled with various art instillations and music performances. The bigger space that Rutcorp offers allowed Squad Fest to become an extra large Dojo gathering.
As for us, we got to set up an instillation of our own. We took our Flow Motion Booth and asked patrons to add color to a blank canvas. Over the course of the evening, through the beer bubbles, the drops of paint, and the specks of confetti, we captured a slow motion look at the personalities in attendance, each of them adding their own unique color to our background. Sure, paint in your hair is no fun, but for those who went for it, they got to shape an experience that was an unforgettable experiment.
You can find all of the slow motion videos from the night here.
